My salad making assembly line!

I do my grocery shopping on Sunday mornings. When I get home before I put everything away (and have to get it all out again), I make salads for the week. I just go down the line and put lettuce in each and then carrots and then peppers, etc. I put them in the fridge and we are set for the week. Make sure you cover them tightly.

Great idea. Dh and I were just talking about doing once-a-week cooking on Saturdays, and the salad plan is a great way to make sure we're doing good on each day!

We're going completely gluten-free in May. We've limited up til now for just the boys, but I'd love to go for the entire family. Your blog makes it so much easier!

Hey - this is a great idea. But doesn't it go all wilty and slimy?

If you seal them good, they stay fine - I don't put soft things in, like boiled eggs or meat - I add those the day of - or cucumbers - they get slimy. I put in a variety of lettuces, brocolli, cauliflower, celery, carrots, and bell peppers - the radishes are up in my garden, so I'll probably add radishes soon.
