Flat Earth Baked Fruit Chips

These are awesome. They were handing out samples of these in Super Target today along with $1 off coupons. All of them appear to be gluten free as well as free of artificial flavors and preservatives. These were the only two flavors that I saw that were casien free as well. Nice to have another mainstream option - that tastes good as well.

I too thought that they were gluten free, but they do contain OAT FLOUR which can be cross contaminated. Also they do not appear in the list of gluten free products http://www.fritolay.com/fl/flstore/cgi-bin/ProdDetEv_Cat_306_SubCat_351852_NavRoot_361689_ProdID_364066.htm

Good warning for others Cari. We do eat oats. I don't worry about the cross contamination issue - since the celiac associations say it is fine and we have not had any adverse reactions from them. I know a lot of people are still leary of oats, but for my family they appear to be okay. If you contact fritolay - the oats is the only issue with the chips - so for us, they are okay. But it is an excellent warning for others who may be more cautious about oats. Many of the items on my blog do contain oats.

I have celiac disease also. I was wondering if Flat Earth products were gluten free. I called their number and asked them. They said that they are wheat free but not gluten free. I know that it is tempting and easier to eat a product that is not gluten free if you don't have a reaction but you have to remember that just because you don't have a reaction doesn't mean that you aren't causing damage to your body.
